Fair Trade Coffeehouse opened its doors in February 2004.
We service primarily the downtown crowd - a wonderfully interesting mix of students, downtown professionals and residents, workers, visitors, faculty, international students and wanderers.

Committed to supporting small growers around the world,
Fair Trade Coffeehouse
has served Equal Exchange coffee since the beginning. In fall 2009 Equal Exchange selected 10 coffee houses around the country to participate in their “61 Beans” program. Fair Trade Coffeehouse was one of them. As part of that program we have access to “boutique” roasts, which are beans that are harvested and roasted in small batches and available for a limited time. So, in addition to our other great brews, we now offer the 61 Beans “coffee of the month”. Customers have become more knowledgeable about where their delicious coffee comes from and the characteristics of the grower coops.

In addition to a wide selection of coffee and espresso drinks,
Fair Trade Coffeehouse
also serves home made panini sandwiches, hot home-made soups during the cold season. We also several items baked in-house. The chocolate chip cookies have a dedicated following. Many bakery items are from local bakeries and caterers.
